Music.
I haven’t done a blog about anything lately, so here we go!
Musicians are an amazing thing, they manage to put so much meaning, and feelings, and passion— into a simple 3 minute song.
Bleeding Love by Leana Lewis; It talks about how she loves this guy (But I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you), but he keeps hurting her (You cut me open, & I keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love). Everyone can tell he’s hurting her, abusing her, yet she doesn’t because she’s so blinded by love (My heart melted to the ground, found something true, & everyone’s looking ‘round, thinking I’m going crazy).
The Climb by Miley Cyrus; I know alot of people don’t like Miley Cyrus, but nobody ever takes into account how much meaning there is in her songs. She says how, there’s always going to be problems in your life, a conflict that challenges you (There’s always gonna be another mountain, I’m always gonna wanna make it move). & Sometimes, life gives you these challenges, not because it wants to see how well you deal with it, but how you manage to deal with it (Ain’t about how fast I get there, ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side, it’s the climb).
Just Like Me by Jamie Foxx; I’m not really fond of this song, but I like it cuhs it heckaaa sums up why some relationships just don’t work. Basically, he says that two people, who have so much in common, will never last together. I can’t really pull up exact lines, but in this song— he’s cheating on his girlfriend, & then he finds out that his girlfriend was doing the same thing. He’s at the clubs hitting on girls, she’s doing the same at bars. He really loves her, because they are so alike— but that’s the reason they can’t be together.
Anyway, I guess I’ll stop here before it goes majorly overboard. Lyrics, go look them up sometime, you’ll be surprised how poetic they are.
