Uhhh, so Aric requested 3 Lady Gaga songs, so yeahh, here we go?

Pokerface; Pretty simple, Lady Gaga uses the idea of card games (Poker & Texas Hold ‘Em) to compare to how girls put up a “pokerface” in the “game” of love. She says that love is a game, and you have to play along & put up a good pokerface if you want to win. Lady Gaga also implies that nobody can read her pokerface (probably because of her bisexuality, thus making it hard for people to find out her true aspirations). Pretty straight forward, if you listen to the lyrics.

Paper Gangsta; First time I’ve actually listened to this song, so yeah xD There are 2 ways to take this song— I’ll give both:

Uhmm, so a Paper Gangsta is someone who uhh, it’s like a gold digger. Paper, meaning cash, money, yeahh. So Lady Gaga is saying how this guy went out with her because she had money. He started by buying something expensive, jewelryish (maybe a watch, or rims, grills, etc.), then made her pay for dinner, rings, diamonds, not entirely sure— but you get the idea (Got something so shiny to start).

Uhh, a Paper Gangsta can also symbolize a guy who she’s wasted paper on, like a diary. A diary, can also be a symbol for emotions, hopes, dreams, etc. Lady Gaga says how she wants someone who will love her, not just waste her love. (I’m looking for love, not an empty page). She wants someone who will be there for her, through everything (Won’t sign away my life to. Someone who’s got the flavor. But don’t got no follow through).

Yeahhh, pick whichever one you like best, I guess xD

Bad Romance; Also, my first time actually listening to this song. I’m fucking Gaga deprived, LMFAO. Anyway, so it’s about a girl (in this song, it’s Lady Gaga) wanting this guy, REALLY BAD. But she can’t have him, because he’s taken/there’s too much drama attached to him (I want your love, & I want your revenge, I want your love, I don’t wanna be friends). She will do basically anything she can to have him, and she tries to seduce him showing him how thrilling it would be to cheat on his girlfriend with her (‘Cause you’re a criminal, as long as your mine— Want you in my room, when your baby is sick). Basically, the bad romance is her having him whenever the girlfriend’s not around— but she’s okay with that, because she wants him so fucking bad— she’ll deal with the revenge & drama, and stuff.
